  • day 1: arrival at dimapur – transfer to kohima

      • Welcome on arrival at dimapur airport, nagaland’s only airport with flight connections from guwahati, delhi, and kolkata. drive to kohima (approx. 2 hours).

      • Check into your hotel and relax.

      • Evening: visit the local kohima bazaar, where you'll be introduced to authentic naga food, including traditional vegetables, insects, and freshwater fish.

      • Overnight stay: kohima

      • Nagaland, veiled amidst northeast india’s mountain ranges, is a land of mysticism and cultural heritage. home to tribes like the angami, ao, konyak, sumi, and more, the state's soul is found in its ancient animist traditions. the famous hornbill festival (held annually from december 1st to 10th) celebrates this tribal legacy with music, dance, crafts, parades, and spiritual rituals.

  • day 2: kohima sightseeing

      • After breakfast, embark on a full-day tour of kohima:

      • War cemetery – honors soldiers who died fighting the japanese during world war ii. a moving epitaph reads: "when you go home, tell them of us and say: for your tomorrow, we gave our today."

      • Nagaland state museum – explore ancestral weaponry, traditional attire, jewelry, and artifacts.

      • Kohima village – said to be the largest and oldest village in asia. witness ceremonial gates adorned with mithun horns, symbolizing valor.

      • Catholic cathedral at aradura hill – one of the largest cathedrals in northeast india, showcasing a blend of modern and tribal architecture.

      • Afternoon: visit jakhama village to experience authentic angami naga culture and tribal village life.

      • Evening: visit the heritage complex, venue of the hornbill festival.

      • Overnight stay: kohima

  • day 3: excursion to touphema or khonoma village

      • After breakfast, choose one of the two enriching excursions:

      • Option 1: touphema village (45 km | ~1 hr 15 mins)

      • Take a guided walk through this angami tribal village, visit the community museum, and explore the touphema tourist village resort, run by the locals.

      • Option 2: khonoma village (20 km | ~1 hr)

      • Explore khonoma, india’s first green village. visit morungs (tribal dormitories), ceremonial gates, and meet traditional craftsmen. learn about the village's eco-conservation practices and its warrior history.

      • Return to kohima in the evening.

      • Overnight stay: kohima

  • day 4: kohima to imphal

      • After breakfast, drive to imphal, capital of manipur.

      • Sightseeing highlights:

      • Shree govindajee temple – a historic vaishnavite temple.

      • Manipur state museum – showcases the rich cultural history of manipur.

      • Khwairamband bazaar (ima market) – a bustling market run exclusively by women, known as the “mothers’ market”.

      • Overnight stay: imphal

      • Manipur, known as the “land of jewels,” is a land of breathtaking valleys, vibrant dance, martial arts, and handloom traditions.

  • day 5: moirang, loktak lake & nearby attractions

      • After breakfast, begin your day with a mix of nature and history:

      • Imphal zoological garden and khonghampat orchidarium

      • Drive to moirang (45 km | ~1 hr) – ancient capital of the meitei kings.

      • Visit sadu chiru waterfall and the japanese war memorial.

      • Explore keibul lamjao national park – the only floating national park in the world and last habitat of the rare sangai deer.

      • Discover the loktak lake, northeast india’s largest freshwater lake, and sendra island, offering panoramic views of the floating islands (phumdis).

      • Return to imphal.

      • Overnight stay: imphal

  • day 6: departure from imphal

      • After breakfast, transfer to imphal airport for your onward journey.

      • Tour ends with unforgettable memories of northeast india's tribal richness and natural splendor.
